Probing and Soil Mechanical characteristics

Probing and Soil Mechanical characteristics

Before the start of a construction project or road building, it is essential to properly map out the soil’s capacity. It is a matter of avoiding problems later, such as surface subsidence or poor drainage. Our teams therefore investigate the soil-mechanical characteristics of the various soil layers by means of probing and analysis.

Probing in the context of a stability survey and capacity of the soil are offered in combination with other surveys. They are conducted by permanent subcontractors. As soil experts, we take most of the sampling in the laboratory for the establishment of current soil-mechanical characteristics (permeability, grain size distribution, Atterberg limits, ...) for our own account. We have the required equipment, such as sampling rings, sampling buses,… for this purpose.
